2015 Ford Mustang Adds 45 Horsepower

July 19th, 2014

One of Ford’s oldest and most historic vehicles, the Mustang, is getting a little “beefier” in 2015. Ford announced that they are adding 45 horsepower to their 5.0-liter V-8 in the Mustang, bringing the total horsepower to 435. Ford is also releasing a brand new 2.3 liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine, which saves fuel economy, that still give you 310 hp.

There were a few other changes made to the 2014 Ford Mustang that were notable. Ford added an independent rear suspension, which replaced the live rear axle. They also reengineered the front axle to balance the Mustang’s new added performance. They tested the new 2015 Mustang against some stiff competition including the BMW M3 and the Porsche 911.

Dealerships Competing For Slumping Summer Sales

July 10th, 2014

With more than half of 2014 behind us, automakers have mixed feelings about the last six months. On one hand, most of them posted better than expected monthly results in the last three months, including record sales totals for the month of May. These automakers include General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, Hyundai, and Volkswagen.

There have been some negatives though, that have hurt sales and consumer confidence. The first three months of the year were so cold and snowy in the northern United States that sales slumped. People were staying inside and waiting for the warmer months. Another factor in reduced sales were the massive recalls in the first six months of the year, breaking a record for the most number of recalls in a year, in less than six months.

That said, dealerships are doing all they can to attract your business and clear some room on their lots for the 2015 model year vehicles. They are offering huge incentives and rebates if you know where to look. Get a no-obligation price quote from www.CompetingCarPrices.com today and see how much you can save right now on a 2014 new vehicle!

Take Advantage of 4th of July Price Wars

July 3rd, 2014

The first official summer holiday is upon us. The day we celebrate our independence, we will be also celebrating massive savings on 2014 cars, trucks and SUVs at local dealerships. Many dealerships are trying to get rid of their 2014 inventory to make room for the 2015 models. Chevrolet is one example, putting their ad dollars into the mix and buying 4th of July search traffic for their “72 Hour Sale”.

How do you take advantage of dealership reduced pricing for this 4th of July weekend? It’s simple. First, get a new 2014 car quote from www.competingcarprices.com. Secondly, find at least two local dealerships in your area that both have your vehicle on their lots. Thirdly, contact dealership A and tell them dealership B is giving you a slightly better offer than the invoice price. If dealership A doesn’t reduce their price to get your business, try the same thing with dealership B.

Just remember to get your low price quotes at www.competingcarprices.com today and drive away in a new 2014 vehicle tomorrow.
