2015 Ford Mustang Adds 45 Horsepower

July 19th, 2014

One of Ford’s oldest and most historic vehicles, the Mustang, is getting a little “beefier” in 2015. Ford announced that they are adding 45 horsepower to their 5.0-liter V-8 in the Mustang, bringing the total horsepower to 435. Ford is also releasing a brand new 2.3 liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine, which saves fuel economy, that still give you 310 hp.

There were a few other changes made to the 2014 Ford Mustang that were notable. Ford added an independent rear suspension, which replaced the live rear axle. They also reengineered the front axle to balance the Mustang’s new added performance. They tested the new 2015 Mustang against some stiff competition including the BMW M3 and the Porsche 911.
